-Completed her five-and-a-half-year medical training at Maharani Lakshmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi, in 1993.
- Undertook a year-long compulsory internship in 1993, rotating at JJ Medical College, Nair Hospital, Mumbai, and MLB Medical College, Jhansi.
- Worked in the Emergency and Casualty Department at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Delhi, in 1994.
